Creating professional maps for your presentations.

Interpretation software are offering incredible options nowadays (see Paleoscan for that). However, I often find them to lack in the output. This is where Petrosys PRO is coming.
One option I do love is the shaded map. It helps to produce really great looking map.
How to:
1. Prepare your map as usual

2. In the display menu, chose grid/sun shaded
3. In the dialog box, select the grid to shade, the MONOCHROME option, the inclination of the sun and the azimuth. The exaggeration depends on your taste: not enough and the effect looks like The Netherlands and too much is simply ugly.

4. Drag the shaded layer as the last one and put the coloured grid immediately on top. Do not forget to make it transparent, the right value is between 25% and 45%. Test.
And voila ! You have a map in 3D !
